Mll Elementary Paraprofessional

Springfield Public Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mll Elementary Paraprofessional for our summer school program. This position is funded by Title III and will be based at Dryden Memorial Elementary School.

Work Schedule:

8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

• Assist teachers in all classroom activities.
• Assist with the thematic planning approach.
• Participate in the planning and implementation program in the areas of ESL by the WIDA standards for English language development.
• Assist in selecting and developing, as well as distributing, teacher materials for the program.
• Breakfast and lunch duty.
• Afternoon bus duty.

• A high-school diploma or GED; and

• Sixty (60) credit hours of college coursework or an associate's degree, or a passing score on one of the two following formalized standardized assessments:
Para Pro Assessment or Work Keys Certificate of Proficiency for Teacher Assistants.

• Current authorization to work in the United States.

** A passing score on the Work Keys Exams in the following areas:

Reading: 5 Math: 4 Writing: 3
