Announcement of Summer School Position
Title: MLL Elementary Paraprofessional
Salary: According to the Paraprofessional Contract
Funding source: Title III
Location: Benjamin Swan Elementary School
Work schedule: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Responsible to the building principal.
- Assist teachers in all classroom activities.
- Assist with thematic planning.
- Participate in the planning and implementation program in the areas of ESL by the WIDA standards for English language development.
- Assist in selecting and developing, as well as distributing, teacher materials for the program.
- Breakfast and lunch duty.
- Afternoon bus duty.

- An extraordinarily high bar for student behavior and expectations.
- An eagerness to set ambitious, challenging, and tangible goals, and a relentless drive to achieve them.

- Proven track record of high achievement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong public speaking skills.
- A sense of humility in the face of success.
- Drive to improve the minds and lives of students in and out of the classroom.
- A high‑school diploma or GED.
- Sixty (60) credit hours of college coursework or an associate's degree, or a passing score on one of the two following formalized standardized assessments:
- Para Pro Assessment (https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).)
- Work Keys Certificate of Proficiency for Teacher Assistants (https://)
- Current authorization to work in the United States; a candidate must have such authorization by their first day of employment.
- A passing score on the Work Keys Exams:
Reading (5), Math (4), Writing (3).
