The Department of Physical & Biological Sciences at Western New England University invites applications for a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate chemistry courses, with primary responsibilities including lecture and laboratory sections of introductory chemistry for engineering and science majors. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to effective undergraduate teaching and student learning.

This is a teaching focused position with a 4/4 teaching load (12 credit hours per semester).

A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field is preferred; well-qualified candidates with an M.S. degree will also be considered. Relevant college-level teaching experience, particularly in introductory chemistry lecture or laboratory courses, is desirable.

Official transcripts of all higher education coursework will be required prior to appointment; unofficial transcripts may be submitted with the initial application.

Qualifications
