Job Description

CDM Smith is looking for an Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental Services team! As part of our team, you’ll perform essential engineering tasks related to remediation sites. Your responsibilities will include reviewing shop drawings, developing engineering specifications, conducting fieldwork, and creating designs to meet client project requirements. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing remediation documents, including draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state and local regulations, ensuring that firm policies and practices are followed on all projects.

Additionally, you may conduct site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure projects are aligned with client and location specifications. Additionally, you could contribute to technical knowledge management (TKM) through white papers and design documentation of new or special case designs and studies and you may collaborate on conference materials like posters or presentations.

Review shop drawings, develop engineering specifications, conduct fieldwork, and create remediation designs that meet client project requirements. Prepare and review remediation documents, draft designs, and reports for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Conduct site reviews and studies to ensure projects align with client and location specifications. Contribute to technical knowledge management through white papers and design documentation. Collaborate on conference materials such as posters or presentations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 1 year of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

20% Assignment Category Full time Regular

No – We will not support sponsorship, i.e. H-1B or TN Visas for this position.

• Intermediate Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
• Knowledge of engineer principles of design.
• Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.).
• Good written and verbal communications skills.

Minimum $66,248;
Maximum $109,283

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
