Overview
Transportation Civil Engineer position. You will work on cutting‑edge multi‑disciplinary roadway design projects for state agencies and municipalities in New England. The role includes design and coordination of roadway projects, multimodal facilities, traffic calming treatments, accessibility improvements, drainage assessments, utility coordination, and green infrastructure elements.

- Providing technical expertise on projects from the conceptual and preliminary design phase through final design.
- Providing technical expertise on projects beyond final design into the construction phase.
- Coordinating with architects, bridge, environmental, geotechnical, survey, and traffic professionals to complete interdisciplinary deliverables.
- Assisting project managers with roadway design, utility infrastructure coordination, construction document development, and construction support services.
- Preparing detailed civil design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and bid packages.
- Working with project managers to ensure that production of specifications, reports, and analyses meets scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- 4–8 years of experience designing and preparing construction contract documents for roadway projects.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license, or the ability and motivation to obtain one.
- Experience developing roadway designs in accordance with Massachusetts DOT, New Hampshire DOT, or Maine DOT guidelines and standards.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Station (InRoads/Open Roads), and AutoTURN.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in 3D roadway models, horizontal alignments, profiles, corridors, cross sections, grading, sidewalk/curb ramps, ADA design, construction phasing, quantity takeoffs, and estimates preferred.

Salary range: $81,000 – $109,000 (state‑wide wage transparency).
