An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Engineer with a minimum of 2 years’ experience to join the Guildford office. This role offers a strong mix of site-based investigation work, technical interpretation and project delivery, making it ideal for someone looking to further develop their geotechnical career within a supportive consultancy environment. You will work closely with experienced engineers on a range of projects, gaining exposure to investigation planning, reporting and technical assessments.

• Supporting and supervising ground investigations and site works
• Logging soils and rock in accordance with current UK standards
• Preparing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
• Assisting with foundation recommendations and geotechnical assessments
• Supporting project delivery across a variety of development and infrastructure schemes
• Liaising with clients, contractors and internal engineering teams
• Ensuring all works are delivered in line with health & safety and quality standards

• Degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years’ consultancy experience within geotechnical engineering or ground investigation
• Experience with site investigations, logging and technical reporting
• Understanding of UK ground investigation practices and geotechnical principles
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence
