Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

KBW Financial is partnering with a respected nonprofit organization in Hampden County seeking a strategic and experienced finance leader to oversee accounting, payroll, and financial operations. This hybrid leadership role offers strong executive visibility and the opportunity to drive financial integrity and operational excellence within a mission-driven environment.

• Provide leadership over accounting, accounts payable, cash management, representative payee, and payroll functions
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting and finance staff
• Develop and enhance accounting and payroll systems to meet evolving organizational needs
• Manage and monitor all financial reporting systems ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Issue timely and complete financial statements
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filings
• Evaluate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls while driving continuous improvement
• Prepare financial reports analyzing current and projected financial performance
• Safeguard the integrity and accuracy of all financial information

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
• 10+ years of progressively responsible accounting/finance experience within a large system or department
• Nonprofit human services experience strongly preferred
• CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred
• Proven leadership experience managing accounting and payroll teams
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, compliance, and regulatory requirements
