This newly created role reports to the CFO and offers a strong opportunity for a self-sufficient banking finance leader to improve reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and team performance.

Summary
The Vice President, Financial Reporting & FP&A is a senior finance leader reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the bank’s financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and performance management.
This role serves as the CFO’s primary partner for translating historical financial results into forward-looking insight, while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and control of GAAP and regulatory reporting. The position combines technical accounting rigor with strategic financial planning and analytics, supporting executive leadership, ALCO, and the Board of Directors. Additionally, this position embraces the established sales and service culture to maximize their contribution to the Bank’s goals.
After successful completion of training and proven abilities, this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with availability expected during core business hours and agreed upon number of days per-week/month on site.
Essential duties and responsibilitiesThe requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Lead the preparation, review, and integrity of:
- Call Reports and related regulatory filings
- Monthly and quarterly management reporting packages
- Act as a key finance liaison to:
- External auditors
- Internal audit
- Regulators, as applicable
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory guidance, and bank policies
- Oversee supporting schedules, and audit documentation
- Partner with the CFO to lead:
- The annual budgeting process
- Multi-year strategic financial planning
- Own rolling forecasts for:
- Income statement
- Balance sheet
- Develop and maintain:
- Earnings and capital forecasts
- Scenario and stress-testing models
- Provide financial analysis and insight to support:
- ALCO discussions
- Balance sheet strategy
- Pricing and margin management
- Prepare and present financial outlooks, trends, and variance analysis to:
- Executive management
- ALCO
- Board of Directors
- Design and maintain financial dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting tools
- Lead performance analysis versus:
- Budget
- Forecast
- Prior periods
- Conduct profitability and return analysis by:
- Line of business
- Product
- Portfolio or relationship, as applicable
- Drive improvements in:
- Reporting automation
- Analytical tooling and processes
- Collaborate with other teams to improve scalability and efficiency of financial reporting
- Lead, mentor, and develop staff supporting financial reporting and FP&A
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO on:
- Strategic initiatives
- Capital and balance sheet decisions
- Partner cross-functionally with:
- VP Treasury & Investment
- Controller
- Lending and deposit business lines
- Promote a culture of strong controls, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement
- Point person to assist internal, external, and regulatory auditors with the collection of requested materials as assigned with their respective engagements.
