Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), is looking for a Part-Time Patient Care Technician to join our Intercare team in Springfield, MA.
Responsibilities- Under the supervision of an RN, assist with direct patient care including hygiene, mobility, and vital sign monitoring.
- Perform a range of clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, and Point of Care testing.
- Assist with procedures, patient transport, equipment management, and support emergency response protocols.
- Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to patient safety.

QualificationsThis position is part of a career ladder and hiring level determined by Recruitment.
- Level I: PCT training or CNA training, preferred
- BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association, required
- Level II:
High School diploma or GED; at least one year of patient care experience (varies by setting); BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association, required - Level III:
High School diploma or GED; three or more years of patient care experience (varies by setting) or at least one year as a level II PCT at Baystate Health; BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association, required - Level IV:
High School Diploma or GED; 4+ years of acute or specialty-specific care setting experience or at least one year as a level III PCT at Baystate Health; BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association, required
GED or HiSET (Required)
CertificationsBasic Life Support – American Heart Association
