Description And Responsibilities

The Relief Counselor role provides an opportunity to gain experience and make a difference in the lives of individuals with mental health challenges and developmental disabilities. You will work with adults referred by the Department of Developmental Services, supporting their daily living needs while fostering a safe and inspiring environment. Flexibility in scheduling allows you to balance personal, work, or school commitments.

• Assist in developing individualized, person‑centered treatment plans and play a lead role in the daily implementation.
• Assist individuals to access and/or provide transportation.
• Implement activities that create opportunities for the development of valued roles and personal relationships in the community.
• Review and complete all required documentation.

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

• Excellent supervision (individual and group), professional development, and training opportunities.
