Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to join a reputable oncology team in Springfield, MA. The therapist will be responsible for providing high‑quality radiation therapy treatments, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and the broader care team. This role requires technical expertise, strong attention to detail, and compassionate patient care.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of Radiation Therapy experience
- ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy
- Current Massachusetts Radiation Therapy License
- Proficiency with imaging and treatment delivery systems
- Strong communication and patient care skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire and analyze patient data to prepare for accurate radiation treatment delivery.
- Utilize a variety of imaging and localization technologies to verify treatment sites.
- Accurately deliver prescribed radiation therapy as directed by the radiation oncologist.
- Participate in the treatment planning process, collaborating with dosimetrists and physicians.
- Maintain detailed documentation and patient records in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards.
- Ensure optimal patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the treatment process.
- Operate and perform basic troubleshooting on radiation therapy equipment.
