Local Contract Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract RN Labor and Delivery position in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Local contract assignment at a prestigious hospital. 13‑week assignment with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts (3x12: 7 pm‑7:30 am).

• Categorize patients in the appropriate level of classification.
• Apply an external fetal monitor and interpret fetal heart tracing and uterine activity.
• Implement interventions based on fetal heart rate pattern and maternal status during labor.
• Identify emergency situations, observe age, and notify provider accordingly.
• Administer medication according to the 5 rights of safety and infection‑control guidelines and/or per provider orders.
• Screen patients for pain during the initial assessment and reassess according to guidelines.

• Preferred:
  Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery experience.
• Preferred:
  High‑risk obstetric experience.
• Required
  
  Certifications:
  
  NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and CPR.
