Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Westford, Massachusetts

Overview

Join the Westford Public Schools team as a Speech‑Language Pathologist and help empower students to reach their full potential. The SLP will provide speech and language services to students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning and development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in speech‑language pathology.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and staff on speech and language development.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Massachusetts state licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Certification from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for Speech‑Language Pathologists.
  • Knowledge of IDEA and state and federal regulations governing special education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Required Licensure and Certifications
  • Massachusetts State License: Must hold and maintain a valid license to practice speech‑language pathology in Massachusetts.
  • ASHA Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association.
  • Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Certification: Certification for Speech‑Language Pathologists, meeting all state educational and examination requirements.
