Job Responsibilities
- Graduate and Undergraduate Pharmacy Education Oversight
Leadership and oversight for pharmacy residency programs at Baystate Medical Center. Assures residency programs are compliant with current versions of ASHP Regulations on Accreditation. Collaborates with program Directors, Preceptors and Pharmacy Leadership Team to review the design of the programs and ensure there is a plan in place for continuous quality improvement for the residency programs. Ensures preceptor development plans are in place and in compliance with residency program standards.
Manages affiliation agreements with all colleges of pharmacy in collaboration with Academic Affairs, Human Resources and other applicable departments. Coordinate scheduling, orientation and related activities for all experiential education activities for Baystate Medical Center. - Pharmacy Staff Education and Competency/Skill Validation Assessment
Leads the planning, development and implementation of pharmacy educational and development programs for the benefit of the department and patient care. Ensures there are staff development, competency assessment and training programs implemented to meet the ongoing needs of the inpatient pharmacy department. - Acute Care Pharmacy Support
Supports clinical pharmacy team staffing in the acute care pharmacy. - Promote Scholarly Activity
Serves as a liaison between Academic Affairs and the Pharmacy Department on scholarly activity. Encourages scholarly activity within the department and provides guidance to staff with respect to research design and media for presentation (poster, manuscript).
