AboutThe Role
Join our compassionate and skilled team at Mercy Medical Center as a Cardiac Monitor Technician
. In this vital role, you’ll support physicians and nurses by providing continuous cardiac monitoring and accurate rhythm interpretation for patients with a variety of medical conditions.
- Perform advanced ECG monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
- Identify life-threatening arrhythmias and initiate emergency protocols.
- Record rhythms during code situations and provide accurate interval measurements.
- Troubleshoot monitoring equipment and resolve technical issues.
- Educate patients and families to ensure transparency and understanding of care.
- Support nursing staff and perform additional duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS certification required (American Heart Association accepted; American Red Cross preferred).
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
- Prior experience in cardiac monitoring or telemetry preferred.
