Position: Medical Receptionist (Patient Services Representative)

Location: 300 Birnie Ave, Springfield, MA

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts (No weekends)

New England Orthopedic Surgeons, a Division of Northeast Orthopaedic Alliance and a leader in orthopedic private practice, is currently seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist / Patient Services Represetnative to join our Springfield office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Verify patient identity and insurance information
  • Collect co-pays and deductibles, and post payments to patient accounts
  • Maintain accuracy in data entry and navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Utilize insurance portals/websites to verify coverage
  • Deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced clinical setting
Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma

Experience Required
  • 2 years as a PSR / Medical Receptionist
  • 2 years with medical terminology
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) and portals
Preferred Experience
  • 4 years of customer service
  • Detail-oriented – focused on accuracy and quality
  • People-oriented – supportive and respectful in interactions
  • Team-oriented – collaborative and cooperative
