Provide care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations in one of the region's premier academic medical centers.

Advanced Clinical Exposure

Work with sophisticated therapies and technologies, including:

• Invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
• Arterial blood gas analysis
• Pulmonary function testing
• Rapid Response and Code Blue participation
• Air and ground transport cases
• Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS)

Partner closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams that value respiratory expertise and clinical judgment.

As a Respiratory Therapist at Baystate, you'll evaluate, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary conditions under physician direction while serving as a key member of the care team.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing airways and ventilators across varying levels of acuity
• Performing diagnostic testing and interpreting results
• Administering respiratory therapies and pulmonary care modalities
• Participating in emergency response and critical care interventions
• Educating patients and families on treatment plans and disease management
• Supporting discharge planning and chronic disease management initiatives

Every shift offers opportunities to apply advanced clinical decision-making while making a direct impact on patient outcomes.

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program (Associate's degree required)
• Massachusetts Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) eligible or licensed
• Current CPR certification (ACLS preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient-centered care skills
• Experience in acute care, critical care, NICU, PICU, or emergency response environments preferred
