You would be responsible to register patient information, obtain blood specimens, process laboratory specimens for clinical analysis. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients. Must have dependable transportation, to work at area outpatient labs when needed.  Schedules are from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm based on location.  May float to other PCS locations depending on staffing & business needs.

* What you will do:

* + Receives assignments, reviews labels and/or requisitions, obtains required supplies and equipment necessary to carry out tasks.

+ Processes requisitions for completeness, check appropriate signatures obtained, enter patient data, test requested, requesting physician and billing information into computer. Verifies billing and insurance information.

+ Verifies patient identification, prepares skin site, and performs venipuncture and skin puncture according to established aseptic techniques.

+ Labels specimens and transports them to the laboratory for analysis.

+ Drives personal vehicle to travel to if coverage needed in another Patient Service Center

** Work Hours/Shift:*
* 40 hrs, Day Shifts. Must be available to float between Patient Service Centers, when needed; must be flexible to work hours that can vary from 7:30am to 5:00pm.

** Requirements** :

+ High school diploma/GED

+ Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred.  Valid driver's license in good standing required by the Commonwealth of MA.

+ 1 year of experience, preferred.

+ Strong interpersonal skills; strong phlebotomy skills. Adaptability and flexibility necessary for work schedule and patient care requirements. Good command of the English language and medical terminology.

** Pay Range:**  $18.70 - $28.05

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
