Role OverviewAs a Center-Based Behavior Technician, you'll work directly with young children (typically ages 18 months-6 years) to support skill development through play-based, individualized ABA therapy. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values creativity, consistency, and compassionate care.
What You'll Do- Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy sessions under BCBA supervision
- Use play, movement, and creativity to engage children
- Collect accurate session data and progress notes
- Apply feedback and coaching to strengthen clinical skills
- Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to support each child's success
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and engaging therapy environment
- Consistent, compassionate engagement with children
- Accurate data collection and follow-through
- Openness to feedback and skill development
- Team collaboration and reliability
- Professionalism and positive attitude
- Minimum age of 18
- High School diploma or GED required
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including:
- Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
- Bending, kneeling, squatting, and transitioning between activities and locations throughout the session
- Responding appropriately to challenging behaviors, which may include aggression, elopement, or self-injurious behaviors
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Willingness to support coverage at nearby centers if needed
- No prior ABA experience required – we train you
- Childcare or education (nanny, preschool teacher, tutor, paraprofessional)
- Special education, psychology, sociology, or related studies
- Mental health or human services roles
- Camp counselor, volunteer, or youth program experience
- High School Diploma / Associate's Degree: $19.00 - $24.00/hour
- Bachelor's Degree: $20.00 - $24.00/hour
Additional factors that may increase starting pay include:
Prior experience working in ABA or related behavioral health settings, Higher levels of education or relevant coursework, Fluency in additional languages that support the families we serve, Advanced certifications or specialized training (e.g., RBT certification).
