American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with MA state license and ARRT certification for a long-term assignment in a hospital radiation oncology department.
Requirements- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required
- Massachusetts state license required (CT license may also apply)
- License required if applicable
- Ability to safely administer high doses of ionizing radiation under supervision of a radiation oncologist
- Skilled in acquiring and analyzing data for patient treatment preparation
- Experience using various imaging technologies for treatment area localization
- Strong patient assessment, monitoring, and communication skills
- Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology-Medical Physics department at a dedicated cancer care center
- 13-week assignment with AM shift, 8:00am-4:30pm, 5x8s, 40 hrs/week
- Candidate must be flexible and willing to adjust hours as needed to support business operations
- No on-call requirements
- Participate in treatment planning as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
- Serve as primary liaison between patients and the radiation oncology team
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers such as social work and dietitians
- Adhere to accepted standards, code of ethics, and policies regulated by the profession and law
