Expert in their discipline (HR or commensurate experience inclusive of operations experience) accountable for leading and implementing the human capital strategy within our business units. Responsible for leading and coaching managers and above teammates up to executive leaders within the company. Provides strategic HR support and guidance to our organization. Works closely with department leaders (manager+) and teammates to ensure effective HR solutions and initiatives that align with business objectives.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of HR practices, excellent communication, operational experience and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to build strong relationships. Proven track record of success coaching managers and above teammates up to executives within the company.
This is a Hybrid position with required onsite travel in the Northeast (NY, CT, MA, NH, ME).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Sets objectives and expectations for self and business partners (and drives accountability for results)
- Creates and maintains a management process for progressing work activities
- Identifies and works towards key priorities through executing our human capital strategy.
- Develops and implements retention strategies to impact patient care
- Serves as a trusted advisor/coach to leaders, providing guidance on HR initiatives and partnering with them to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
- Collaborates with operational leaders to identify and address employee development needs, including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Collaborates with leaders to identify critical roles and develops succession plans for key positions
- Identifies high potential employees and creates development plans to prepare them for future leadership roles.
- Monitors and tracks progress of key talent actions within the business
- Conducts regular HR data analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, and develops appropriate action plans.
- Stays up-to-date with HR trends and best practices, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance HR processes and practices.
- Translates broader goals and objectives into measurable deliverables and achieving results
- Maintains a broad, strategic perspective while identifying and focusing on crucial details
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with employees at all levels, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Drives accountability with partners in the Village on how to lead the DaVita Way as appropriate for their roles
- Is accountable for employee engagement scores with a clear action plan to drive results
- Collaborates with leaders to define the need for change and identify the desired outcomes
- Develops change management plans including communication strategies, training programs and stakeholder engagement plans
- Develops and implements communication plans to effectively communicate change to all teammates
- Uses strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to influence decision making and gain buy-in from stakeholders
- Presents data, insights and recommendations to support the rationale behind initiatives
- Builds commitment with stakeholders to create a shared vision and drive organizational change
- Previous experience leading multi‑site Human Capital Strategy
- Experience coaching leaders (manager and above)
- Experience identifying and driving Key Performance Indicators
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- Available for moderate travel (25%–50% overnight)
