Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant

We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Consultant to join the team. This is not a transactional recruiting role. Our clients come to us for judgment, not just resumes, and we need someone who can deliver both.

You'll own searches end-to-end: understanding the brief, mapping the market, engaging candidates, managing the process, and advising clients along the way. You'll need to be comfortable in a fast paced environment, creative without losing rigor, and confident enough to push back when the brief needs refining.

• Own full-cycle search execution across commercial biotech/biopharma mandates 0 from kickoff through offer
• Develop deep market knowledge across therapeutic areas, company landscapes, and commercial functional roles
• Source creatively beyond Linked In - building relationships, leveraging networks, and finding candidates others miss
• Engage candidates with authenticity and intelligence; understand what motivates them, not just what's on their resume
• Partner closely with clients to understand organizational culture, team dynamics, and the unspoken requirements behind every brief
• Manage multiple searches simultaneously
• Contribute to Algernon's reputation by representing the firm with professionalism and genuine warmth

• Based in the Boston area
• 3+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, with meaningful exposure to the biotech or biopharma industry
• Commercial life sciences experience strongly preferred
• A natural curiosity about people and organizations; you ask good questions and actively listen
• A problem-solver's mindset
• High attention to nuance: culture fit, organizational readiness, candidate motivations, client dynamics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfort with ambiguity and a genuine love of a fast-paced environment
