Field Services Engineer

Summary

Verigent's client is seeking a Field Services Engineer to provide dedicated onsite and remote network support across multiple locations statewide. This role is primarily focused on Juniper network infrastructure (Tier 2-3 level support) while also supporting legacy switching and wireless environments. The engineer will play a key role in break/fix operations, installations, upgrades, and project-based network initiatives.

Salary Range

• Provide Tier 2-3 support for Juniper routing and switching environments.
• Perform break/fix troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and infrastructure.
• Support project-based deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
• Conduct remote and onsite programming of network devices.
• Maintain and support legacy switching platforms (Nortel/Avaya, now Extreme Networks).
• Support enterprise wireless environments (Aruba, now Hewlett Packard Enterprise).
• Travel to various sites throughout the state as required.
• Document configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customer stakeholders to ensure network reliability and performance.

• 3-7+ years of hands-on network engineering or field services experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise network environments.
• Experience providing onsite field support for distributed locations.
• Ability to manage multiple service requests and projects simultaneously.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly.
