Overview
The Dev Ops Engineer III is an experienced individual contributor responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting secure, scalable, and automated Dev Ops solutions in an Azure-centric environment. This role focuses on building and operating CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and containerized application deployments while following established standards and security practices. The Dev Ops Engineer III works closely with senior Dev Ops engineers, application teams, and security partners to ensure reliable software delivery, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives while remaining hands-on.
Responsibilities- Implement, maintain and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops (YAML-based pipelines) following established patterns and standards.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or Azure Bicep to support multiple environments.
- Build, deploy, and support containerized applications using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) under existing platform guidelines.
- Leverage approved AI-assisted tools and AI-enabled services to enhance Dev Ops productivity, CI/CD automation, pipeline optimization, and operational reliability in accordance with organizational security and governance standards.
- Support and follow defined Git workflows (Git Hub / Azure Repos), including branching strategies, pull requests, and pipeline templates.
- Implement application delivery pipelines for .NET / C# applications and associated database technologies (e.g., Oracle, Azure SQL, SQL Server, Cosmos DB).
- Apply secure pipeline practices including Azure Key Vault integration, Managed identities and service connections, RBAC and least-privilege access, Secure artifact handling.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement Dev Sec Ops controls such as approvals, policy gates, and scanning tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline, infrastructure, and deployment issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Work as part of a team to build and maintain a stable and efficient infrastructure across production and lower environments throughout the SDLC.
- Contribute to the implementation of Dev Ops processes and best practices related to automation, pipelines, monitoring, backups, and security tools.
- Utilize a consistent Dev Ops approach to improve quality and reliability across delivery phases.
- Collaborate with Tier 2 support, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, and Software Development teams to resolve operational issues.
- Assist with documenting Dev Ops processes, pipelines, and automation workflows.
- Participate in release planning, deployments, and pipeline-related discussions with project teams.
- Provide informal knowledge sharing and support to peers as appropriate.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Typically, 4–7 years of experience in Dev Ops, Platform, or Cloud Engineering.
- Experience supporting Salesforce deployments using Copado or similar deployment frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Dev Ops (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts).
- Experience developing and maintaining YAML-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Azure-native tooling such as ARM or Bicep.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration concepts (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
- Working knowledge of application frameworks (.NET, C#) and CI integration.
- Experience with scripting using Power Shell and/or Python.
- Experience supporting database deployments in CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of Azure security fundamentals, including identity, RBAC, and Key Vault.
- Experience integrating Azure Dev Ops and Git-based workflows with external systems such as Service Now and Jira.
- Proficiency with Git and Apache Maven / Ant build automation tools.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as Angular or React from a CI/CD and deployment perspective.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum framework.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM, Mule Soft Integration from Dev Ops perspective.
- Ability to report to work in person and to attend work-related functions/activities.
