Field Support Engineer
Team Logic IT of Northeastern Massachusetts – Woburn, MA

Responsibilities- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to server and network topology, equipment, and configurations for each customer.
- Perform engineering design evaluations and complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints.
- Implement and monitor information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Create, request, and present technical specifications and requirements for purchasing new servers and networking equipment via quote procedures.
- Participate in after‑hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and on‑call availability when necessary.
- Perform standard system administration duties, including server installation, application installation, patch management, OS issue resolution, log analysis, etc.
- Configure, test, and maintain LAN equipment and services including routers, firewalls, switches, access points, and VPNs.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems such as connectivity issues and traffic utilization using available tools promptly.
- Provide infrastructure services in areas such as storage networking, operating systems, network security, directory services, server virtualization, backup and restore, monitoring, and application installation and configuration.
- Stay current with system information, changes, and updates.
- Utilize superior customer service skills.
- Use extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
- Engage in ongoing personal training and education to stay current with evolving technology.
- Experience configuring and deploying switches, firewalls, access points, and other networking equipment; comprehensive understanding of networking protocols and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience configuring and deploying VPNs.
- Experience deploying Windows Server 2016 – 2022.
- Experience deploying hypervisors such as Hyper‑V and VMware ESXi.
- Experience deploying SAN and NAS devices.
- Experience with remote management and monitoring systems such as Ninja, Kaseya, Connect Wise, Datto AEM, etc.
- Experience with Office 365, GSuite, and other online collaboration platforms.
- Experience deploying Windows 10 & 11 workstations/laptops and Apple products.
- Team‑player with excellent communication skills and ability to manage assignments independently.
- 3‑5 years of prior IT experience; experience with a Managed Service Provider is a plus.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Effective communication by phone, email, and in‑person.
- Ability to achieve successful outcomes while managing difficult situations with customers and management levels.
- Analytical and methodical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Initiative and independence in problem resolution.
- Leadership and ability to direct the work of others.
- Teamwork and independent work balance.
- Microsoft certifications are a plus.
- Cisco certifications are a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2‑5 years of industry experience.
- 3+ years of industry experience (preferred).
- Driver’s License.
