Pre-Sales Solution Engineer: Data & Analytics

Job Summary

Salesforce is looking for Pre‑Sales Solution Engineers to join our dedicated Informatica Pre‑Sales Solution Engineering team. As a Pre‑Sales Solution Engineer you will partner with sales teams, provide technical sales partnership, align solutions to customer vision, perform technical discovery, deliver demonstrations, workshops, and make architectural recommendations. You will be an integral part of the success for both customers and Account Executives by connecting technical solutions to business outcomes.

• Perform all activities leading up to the delivery of a customer demo including discovery, technical qualification/fit, customer presentations, standard demos, and related customer‑facing communication.
• Respond to Request for Information/Proposal documents.
• Manage customer engagements without support.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to continuously improve Informatica’s products and marketing.
• Share best practices, content, and tips and tricks within the primary area of responsibility.
• Stay current on certification of services required for area of responsibility.
• Partner with the CSM team on nurture activities including technical advisory, workshops, etc.
• Provide customer feedback on product gaps using Vivun.
• Support demos at marketing events without support.

• Minimum 4‑8 years of relevant experience in data integration, master data management, or data governance.
• 5+ years of presales/technical sales, industry, or consulting experience.
• Basic technical knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, data warehousing, database, and/or business intelligence software concepts and products.
• Skills on at least one INFA related software platform/technology.
• Storytelling and experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects specific to use cases.
• Experience engaging and creating relationships with influencers, coaches, decision makers, and partners.
• Ability to travel as needed (up to 50%) and to work flexible hours.
• Basic knowledge of top 3 cloud ecosystems and top 2 data related technologies highly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cloud computing security aspects highly preferred.
• Certification on at least 1 cloud ecosystem and 1 data related cloud technology at the level defined by the business area of focus.
• Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role.

The typical base salary range for this position is $70,070 – $244,510 annually. In California, New York, and select cities in Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range is $77,070 – $269,080 per year. The range represents base salary only and does not include company bonus, incentive, equity, or benefits.
