Responsibilities

The candidate will be customer service-focused, work independently, and support Legends Hospitality locations. The position requires adaptability to a fast-paced dynamic environment, strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide event-day setup and support of multiple point-of-sale systems.
  • Provide excellent desktop support services to internal staff.
  • Work with vendors and service providers to resolve issues and implement changes.
  • Communicate productively and professionally across all managerial levels.
  • Work during most events, including late nights and weekends.
  • Provide level 1 & 2 support of all point-of-sale system problems and escalating when necessary.
  • Initiate and implement improvements to areas of responsibility.
  • Serve as building-wide point of contact on IT-related matters.
  • Conduct stadium walk-throughs to ensure all systems are operational prior to and during events.
  • Replace defective hardware before, during, and after events.
  • Diagnose software, firmware, & hardware errors and implement solutions.
  • Work with external vendors on support of proprietary systems.
  • Track RMAs of all equipment inbound and outbound for repairs.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and adhere to all standards and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by IT Manager and Controller.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field (experience can be substituted for education). Desired experience and knowledge:

  • 1–3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Basic PC hardware knowledge.
  • Good understanding of networking including TCP/IP, VLANs.
  • Administration experience with Windows 2000/2003/2008/2008R2 operating systems.
  • Experience with wireless LAN concepts.
  • Experience with Windows XP/Windows 7 and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with virtual environments (servers and desktops).
  • Experience with Quest, Counterpoint or SQL systems.
  • Exposure to event support or retail sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Relevant industry certifications.
  • Ability to adapt to environment changes immediately.
  • Highly effective oral presentation and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to report to the stadium no less than 4 hours prior to each event.
  • Flexible scheduling and reliable transportation required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and Mac applications.
  • Knowledge of wireless terminologies and security technologies.
  • Knowledge of CAT5/6 crimping in different cable configurations.
  • Able to move fast and act on assigned duties.
  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10–30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds.
Pay & Schedule
  • Pay rate: $18 – $26 per hour.
  • Must be able to work events at other Legends sites in the LA/OC area.
