Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement – IT (Hybrid) Position Summary
We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Senior Manager of Indirect Procurement – IT to lead enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives across technology categories. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, negotiating complex technology agreements, managing supplier relationships, and leading a team of procurement professionals to deliver measurable value, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in IT procurement, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record negotiating large-scale contracts with cloud providers, managed service providers, and global technology consulting firms.
Key Responsibilities- Lead sourcing and procurement activities across key IT spend categories including:
- Software and Enterprise Applications
- Managed Services
- Telecommunications
- Infrastructure and Hardware
- Cybersecurity Solutions
- Professional and Consulting Services
- Develop category strategies aligned with business objectives, technology roadmaps, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Security, and business stakeholders to drive sourcing decisions and supplier strategies.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations and contract renewals with strategic technology suppliers.
- Demonstrate extensive experience negotiating agreements with major providers such as cloud platforms, MSPs, and global system integrators including HCL Technologies (HCL), Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, and similar organizations.
- Negotiate pricing, service levels, performance metrics, risk provisions, data privacy, cybersecurity requirements, and commercial terms.
- Manage supplier performance, governance processes, and executive-level vendor relationships.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals.
- Establish performance expectations, provide coaching, and support career development.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture focused on business partnership and continuous improvement.
- Drive procurement best practices, process standardization, and stakeholder engagement across the organization.
- Identify and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, and value-creation opportunities across the IT portfolio.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and spend analysis activities.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
- Evaluate supplier financial stability, operational risks, and business continuity considerations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive procurement and strategic sourcing experience, with significant focus on IT procurement.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience managing direct reports.
- Demonstrated success leading complex sourcing initiatives and enterprise-level contract negotiations.
- Strong experience negotiating contracts involving:
- Public Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
- IT Outsourcing and Infrastructure Services
- Global Technology Consulting and Professional Services firms
- HCL, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, or similar providers
- MBA, CPSM, CPSD, CIPS, or related professional certification.
- Experience supporting digital transformation, cloud migration, and technology modernization programs.
- Knowledge of software licensing models, SaaS agreements, and technology contract structures.
