The Repair Estimator is responsible for providing accurate and timely repair estimates for customer watches while ensuring adherence to LVMH Watch & Jewelry's quality standards. This role demands a high degree of precision, efficiency, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations. The specialist will diagnose watch issues, identify necessary repairs and parts using our internal software, and maintain clear communication with customer care to ensure satisfaction.
The specialist plays a crucial role in upholding brand integrity by identifying counterfeit products and validating warranty information.
- Thoroughly examine internal components of customer watches to identify defects and assess repair needs.
- Utilize power consumption testing to accurately determine the required level of service.
- Evaluate all operating functions of watches to ensure comprehensive repair solutions.
- Proficiently use Proconcept (internal repair software) to identify necessary repairs, parts, and generate accurate estimates.
- Customer Communication & Satisfaction:
- Collaborate effectively with customer care to keep customers well‑informed about the repair process, scope of work, and expected outcomes.
- Maintain a proactive approach to addressing customer inquiries and ensuring satisfaction throughout the repair journey.
- Brand Protection & Quality Assurance:
- Identify counterfeit watches and follow established protocols for reporting and customer communication.
- Validate warranty information to ensure appropriate repair handling and cost allocation.
- Strictly adhere to quality control protocols throughout the repair process, ensuring all repairs meet LVMH standards.
- Process Adherence & Efficiency:
- Meet or exceed daily quotas for estimates and quality control inspections while maintaining accuracy.
- Prioritize workload effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all evaluations and repairs.
- Prioritization & Attention to Detail: Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Initiative & Independence: Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to type efficiently and quickly learn new computer programs (specifically Proconcept).
- Communication
Skills:
Excellent communication skills, demonstrated by the ability to interact in a courteous, professional, and informative manner with colleagues and customers.
- Previous experience in estimating or quality control within a production environment is highly desirable.
- For internal candidates, a strong working knowledge of Proconcept is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proficient typing skills are required.
