A company is looking for an Employment Counsel (Layoff Management) for a 3-month contract.
Key Responsibilities Manage and execute redundancy exercises efficiently, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations Provide strategic advice on performance management issues to support HR and management teams Develop and maintain legal playbooks and guidelines to streamline redundancy and performance management processes
Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar 4+ years of experience in employment law, focusing on redundancy and performance management issues Proven ability to manage and implement redundancy exercises in a compliant manner Experience in developing legal playbooks and managing legal tracking systems is preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including HR and legal operations
