Our growing national law firm client is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate to join a sophisticated and growing employment practice in Boston, MA.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a well-rounded practice that combines employment litigation, counseling, investigations, transactional support, and traditional labor matters. The associate will have significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to become a key member of a collaborative team.

Role Overview

The associate will advise employers on a broad range of workplace matters, including:

  • Wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation, and restrictive covenant litigation
  • Employment and HR counseling
  • Drafting employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and related documents
  • Conducting workplace investigations
  • Delivering employment-related trainings
  • Supporting M&A transactions and employment-related due diligence
  • Advising on non-compete and executive employment matters
  • Assisting with labor relations issues, including collective bargaining and union matters
  • Supporting unfair labor practice proceedings and NLRB matters
Candidate Profile
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • 4+ years of Labor & Employment experience
  • Experience with employment litigation and counseling
  • Strong drafting experience involving employment policies and agreements
  • Workplace investigation experience preferred
  • Transactional and due diligence experience is a plus
  • Traditional labor experience involving collective bargaining, union organizing, or NLRB matters is a plus
  • Executive compensation experience is also a plus
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and oral communication skills
  • Strong academic credentials
