As Account Manager/Director at Scratch, you will own the client relationship, serving as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of enterprise technology accounts while ensuring that every engagement delivers measurable value. This is a player‑coach role.
You will provide senior strategic counsel and lead account teams while remaining a hands‑on creator, producing content and driving execution alongside your teams. We are seeking individuals who see to grow into senior leadership positions and take on larger roles within Scratch.
- Serving as the senior day‑to‑day contact for a portfolio of accounts, building trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders and navigating complex organizational dynamics with confidence and professionalism.
- Leading account strategy, ensuring content programs tie directly to clients’ growth objectives and feed into paid, earned, shared, and owned channels.
- Concepting and developing high‑quality content across formats including written, video, social, websites, functioning as a senior individual contributor in addition to team leader.
- Directing account team members, managing workloads, providing feedback, and fostering a high‑performance, collaborative team culture.
- Translating complex technology subjects, including cybersecurity, networking, cloud infrastructure, and related domains, into clear, compelling narratives for technical and business audiences alike.
- Identifying and driving upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts, and contributing to new business pitches as assigned.
- Maintaining rigorous quality standards across all deliverables, managing timelines, and ensuring client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
- Operate with urgency and ownership, holding yourself and your team accountable for both quality and outcomes.
- Bring a calm presence to high‑stakes client situations, translating complexity and pressure into clear action.
- Stay continuously current on enterprise technology trends, especially in cybersecurity and networking, to provide credible, substantive strategic counsel.
- Share best practices and creative approaches across the agency; elevate the work of every team you touch.
- Champion the Scratch way of working: collaborative, transparent, and relentlessly focused on client success.
- Communicate with clarity and conviction in writing, in meetings, and in presentations to senior client stakeholders.
- 8–10 years of professional experience in a B2B technology agency or enterprise technology experience, with a track record of senior client relationship management and hands‑on content creation.
- Enterprise business technology expertise is non‑negotiable. Cyber Security and network infrastructure is a plus.
- Very strong content writer who can synthesize complex concepts and articulate them clearly and succinctly across thought leadership, demand generation, and marketing communications formats.
- Demonstrated experience leading account teams, with the ability to coach writers and strategists while remaining an active contributor.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise information technology highly desired—particularly cybersecurity and networking—and the ability to quickly build subject matter fluency in adjacent technology domains.
- Proven ability to develop strong, lasting relationships with senior client stakeholders, including experience navigating demanding or complex client environments with professionalism and poise.
- Outstanding verbal communication skills, including the ability to present work persuasively, facilitate strategic discussions, and represent the agency at the highest levels.
- Fluency in contemporary digital marketing practices and how content strategy intersects with paid, earned, shared, and owned media.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while consistently upholding the highest standards of quality.
- Must be a resident of and authorized to work in the United States.
