We are seeking an accomplished and entrepreneurial Chief Executive Officer to lead a growing hospice organization serving Rhode Island and spearheading expansion into Massachusetts and beyond.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a well-positioned hospice provider with the backing of a highly successful skilled nursing organization. The business benefits from an established referral network, strong financial resources, and a leadership team committed to accelerating growth throughout New England.

Reporting directly to the Group President
, the CEO will enjoy significant autonomy in leading the organization, developing strategy, and building a regional hospice platform while leveraging the resources of a larger healthcare enterprise.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will lead all aspects of the business and play a critical role in shaping the future of the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing the company's strategic growth plan
  • Leading expansion efforts throughout Massachusetts and additional target markets
  • Driving census growth and strengthening referral partnerships
  • Ensuring exceptional patient care, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing leadership teams
  • Managing operational performance, financial results, and business development initiatives
  • Building strong relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, physician groups, SNFs, and community partners
  • Establishing a culture of accountability, excellence, and compassionate care
  • Collaborating with ownership and senior leadership on long-term strategic planning

Ideal Candidate

We are interested in visionary healthcare leaders with a proven track record of operational excellence and growth within Hospice or Palliative care.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required;
    Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience
  • Previous experience as a CEO, COO, Regional Vice President, Division President, Executive Director, or similar senior leadership role
  • Demonstrated success growing hospice census, revenue, and market share
  • Strong understanding of hospice operations, Medicare reimbursement, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience leading multi-site operations and growth initiatives
  • Track record of building high-performing teams and organizational culture
Preferred Experience
  • Direct hospice leadership experience
  • Experience expanding healthcare operations into new geographic markets
  • Existing relationships within Rhode Island and/or Massachusetts healthcare communities
  • Experience working within growth-oriented, private equity-backed, or rapidly scaling healthcare organizations
