We are seeking a high-level Machinist with programming expertise who is ready to transition from the shop floor into a leadership role. This is a unique "Manager-in-Training" position designed for a technical expert who wants to master the business side of manufacturing. You will move beyond setup and operation to learn quoting, customer relations, and shop management through ERP system. Responsibilities Include
  • Programming & Operation: Set up, program, and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers (Haas VM-3, YCM MV-106) and CNC Turning centers.
  • Operational Management: Learn to utilize JobBOSS to manage job travelers and track production efficiency.
  • Customer Relations: Interface directly with customers to discuss technical specifications and project timelines.
  • Quoting & Estimating: Work alongside leadership to learn how to accurately quote new projects.
  • Precision Finishing: Perform grinding (surface and cylindrical) and Wire EDM for high-precision geometries.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Technical Mastery: Proven experience in CNC Programming and the ability to read/interpret complex blueprints.
  • Machining Versatility: Proficiency across Milling (3 & 4-axis), Turning (bar feed/chuck), and Manual equipment.
  • Grinding Experience: Familiarity with Harig, Okamoto, or Chevalier grinding equipment is highly preferred.
  • Leadership Mindset: Strong communication skills and a desire to move into a supervisory or management role.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to maintain high-quality standards across a 50–60 hour work week.
