CNC Machinist

Cooling performance limits high‑power computing, semiconductor fab, cell networks, photonics, power electronics, and most of our digital world. Enable customers to break through these constraints with novel complex metal components that dramatically improve heat dissipation in high‑performance systems.

Patented Stack Forging™ process enables complex micro‑geometries, resulting in single‑piece, leak‑tight parts that deliver superior cooling performance, lower pressure drops, and exceptional reliability.

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Parts Production, the CNC Machinist will be responsible for the programming and operation of CNC machines in the in‑house CNC shop. This person will provide feedback to the applications engineering team regarding part feasibility and machinability while finding creative and scalable solutions to support the Stack Forging process. This is a critical role in production operation, influencing the manufacturing process of nearly every part delivered.

This role requires 5 days onsite per week.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities are subject to change based on shifting business needs.

  • Engage with Sales and Applications Engineering in pre‑sales discussions, offering feedback to facilitate the manufacturing of customer parts.
  • Program and cut parts, purchase materials and tooling.
  • Identify and implement novel fixturing solutions for parts that will be difficult to indicate repeatably.
  • Cooperatively work with the Engineering and Quality Teams to correctly dimension drawings and create datums that will match manufacturing workflows.
  • Generate accurate forecasting and scheduling of production work.
  • Stay digitally organized, updating work statuses, best practices for file storage and traceability.
  • Be an active member of the Safety Committee, owning safety and training within the machine shop.
What you’ll bring
  • 7+ years of CNC Programming and Machining experience including tooling selection and setup.
  • Experience in setup and machining of aluminum castings or other parts where each piece of starting material is slightly different.
  • Experience in setup and machining of parts that have been 3D printed.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments to verify product quality.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem‑solving in a machining environment.
  • Experience with the development and execution of programming, processing, operational/set‑up sheets, and work instructions related to the manufacturing of orders utilizing ISO procedures.
  • Experience developing manufacturing plans for high‑volume production.

$62,300 - 93,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
