Position Overview
2nd Shift Material Handler – Shrewsbury, MA
Join our Valmet team as a 2nd Shift Material Handler in our Shrewsbury, MA location. The position involves handling materials, operating forklift trucks, and using hand tools safely.
Responsibilities- Operate forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
- Use hand tools such as retractable razor, hammer, prybar, and gloves
- Follow proper PPE guidelines for safety
- Frequent bending, lifting, and moving of materials up to 40 lbs
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and organizational HSE requirements
- 0–2+ years of on‑the‑job experience in material handling
- Licensed to operate forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
- Knowledge of, or prior experience with, computers preferred
- Ability to use necessary hand tools and PPE
- Repetitive work tolerance and physical fitness
