The Sr. Manager Technical Services is responsible for providing technical support for the manufacturing of nutraceutical ingredients from development through commercial production. The role focuses on process scale-up, validation, technology transfer, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement while ensuring products meet quality and regulatory standards. You'll work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to support manufacturing operations, evaluate new raw materials and manufacturing partners, and help drive efficient, reliable production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads process development, optimization, troubleshooting, and technical support for manufacturing processes across internal operations and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).
  • Supports process qualification, validation, scale-up, technology transfer, and ongoing process verification from pilot through commercial manufacturing.
  • Ensures manufacturing processes remain in a validated state and consistently meet cGMP, quality, regulatory, and process performance requirements.
  • Leads technical investigations into manufacturing deviations, process failures, and performance issues while driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase process robustness, productivity, capacity, and cost efficiency.
  • Partners with raw material suppliers to improve material quality, consistency, and cost through supplier qualification, process capability assessments, specification alignment, and evaluation of upstream manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluates and implements raw material optimization strategies to improve downstream manufacturing performance and product quality.
  • Serves as the primary technical liaison for CMOs, providing oversight of manufacturing performance, technology transfers, process monitoring, and resolution of technical issues impacting product supply.
  • Develops and maintains technical documentation supporting manufacturing processes, technology transfers, supplier/CMO qualifications, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field;
    Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive manufacturing, process engineering or technical operations within dietary ingredient, dietary supplement, nutraceutical/food, or specialty chemical manufacturing.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including internationally
