Meet is excited to be partnered with an independent pharma advertising agency seeking a talented Freelance Account Director to join their growing team!
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Tri-State Area (must be easily accessible to Boston and comfortable with travel as needed)
Hours: 20 hours/week to start, increasing to 40 hours/week from mid‑July through October as account activity ramps up
Contract Length: Initial 4‑month engagement with the intent to either extend the contract or convert to a full‑time position for long‑term account support
About the OpportunityThis Account Director will serve as the primary point of contact for a new rare disease client currently in the pre‑launch phase. The work is heavily focused on both HCP and DTC initiatives, including disease state education, website updates, CRM programs, KOL engagement, and other key launch preparation activities.
The ideal candidate will be onboarded immediately to become immersed in the business ahead of a significant increase in workload beginning in mid‑July. This is an exciting opportunity to play a highly visible role on an important account, with the agency planning to pitch for AOR status in October. The agency is seeking someone who is invested in the account's success and interested in supporting the business long term.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary day‑to‑day client contact and strategic partner
- Lead client communications and manage account deliverables across multiple work streams
- Oversee pre‑launch initiatives, including disease state education, website updates, CRM programs, and KOL engagement
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with client objectives
- Support agency growth efforts as the team prepares to pitch for AOR status in October
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical advertising agency experience
- Strong HCP and DTC experience
- Proven ability to lead client relationships and manage complex account initiatives
- Ability to start ASAP
- Comfortable traveling to Boston as needed
- Thrives in a smaller agency environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats
