Description:

The Neighborhood Sustainability Coordinator supports the Neighborhood Sustainability Program by coordinating projects and grant-funded initiatives that advance healthy homes, community resilience, and neighborhood revitalization efforts. This role plays a key project management function across multiple funding streams—including Green

NFit, outreach initiatives, and state-supported programs—helping ensure projects move forward smoothly from planning through implementation.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This position serves as a central connector between internal teams, external partners, and program stakeholders, supporting successful grant execution while maintaining flexibility as program needs evolve.

Since Revitalize CDC’s inception in 1992, the organization has completed over 1,500 homes with the help of 10,000 volunteers investing $54 million into Western Massachusetts. Revitalize CDC repairs, modifies and rehabilitates homes of low-income families with children, elderly citizens, military veterans and people with special needs. Revitalize CDC focuses on meaningful improvements on homes to help reduce energy use, save money, and create a safe, healthy and sustainable living environment for residents and the community.

We believe in a safe, healthy and energy-efficient home for everyone. Revitalize CDC performs critical repairs, modifications and rehabilitation on the homes and non-profit facilities of low-income families with children, military veterans, the elderly and people with disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide project coordination and administrative support across Neighborhood Sustainability initiatives and all grants that enter the program
  • Assist with managing timelines, deliverables, documentation, and reporting requirements for multiple concurrent projects
  • Support planning and implementation of program activities in collaboration with internal staff and external partners
  • Help track grant milestones, program outputs, and basic compliance requirements
  • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure projects stay aligned and on schedule
  • Maintain organized records related to grants, projects, and program activities
  • Assist with community outreach efforts, events, and stakeholder engagement as needed
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal systems, workflows, and project management practices
  • Provide general program support in a flexible capacity as priorities shift
Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Ability to communicate effectively both orally & in writing.
  • Skill in organizing the administrative function.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Google Workplace, PC or Mac and internet browsers.
  • Organized, able to work under pressure, enthusiastic, energetic, flexible.
  • Must be able to lift 20-30 lbs without assistance.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to think creatively with excellent problem-solving skills and share ideas.
  • Willingness to be flexible, adaptable and work as a team with clients, volunteers and staff.
  • Support other programs and staff as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity and the needs of individuals with low-incomes.
  • Possess personal qualities and the ability to relate well with families, staff, outside agencies and the community
  • Positive and can-do attitude;
    Willingness to learn, attend new and continuing education classes in order to grow.
  • Ability to pay close and accurate attention to details.
  • Ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced and sometimes demanding work environment.
  • Represent the organization in a professional manner.

Compensation: $47,000.00 per year.
