Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum $50.99 - $58.61 - $69.33
** Summary
* * Under the direction of the manager, the service coordinator is responsible for performing a full range of tasks to monitor and ensure excellence and quality in service line performance. The service coordinator is accountable for effective and efficient coordination of daily operations for a specific clinical service line (such as orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, etc.). Working with the manager, the service coordinator facilitates ongoing communication with team members, surgeons, anesthesia, and interdepartmental resources.

Effectively identifies workflow strategies that project accurate case scheduling and resource needs. Assists in the oversight for materials and product inventory management for service line working collaboratively with support services and inventory control. Integral participant in the education of staff specific to service requirements, surgeon, and team concepts and techniques. Incumbent is a role model who demonstrates BHS operating principles and behaviors.

* Job Responsibilities:

* 1) Clinical Operations:
The service coordinator assists the manager in the facilitation of operational processes, monitors and ensures excellence in all clinical and technological practices. Ensures and monitors process efficiency and workflow optimization for the provision of the highest quality of patient care anticipating the needs of each case for the service line. Supports staff member learning and independent practice. Maintains proficiency of skills/knowledge in using all associated computer applications.

Supports unit and institutional changes and is a clinical resource to staff within the defined scope of practice. Coordinates and assists in regulatory readiness and readiness for emergencies. Performs duties of a circulating RN as needed.
2) Education and Training:
Working with the manager, the coordinator creates an environment that supports staff engagement, celebrates successes through positive feedback and promotes the educational growth of the staff. Collaborates with RN educator or designee to ensure staff education meets clinical knowledge required for specialty equipment, instrumentation.

Collaboration:

The coordinator collaborates with other members of the healthcare team, to include sterile processing service leads to align workflows between units to ensure the delivery of all services to meet patient specific care needs and to foster team engagement.
4) Fiscal:
Maintains responsibility for the facilitating service line supplies, instrumentation and equipment including maintenance of preference cards, product reviews/additions/deletions.
5) Supports a positive work environment by demonstration of effective problem solving, conflict resolution, and acknowledging the contribution of others to foster positive collaborative team engagement.
6) Possible call will be required on off shifts, holidays, and weekends.
