Position Highlights- Join our newborn hospitalist team at The Birthplace at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield MA. Our team of pediatricians and nurse practitioners admit and care for all the newborns, attend deliveries as requested (high risk and c‑sections), and manage sick newborns including stabilization until Baystate Medical Center NICU transport arrives.
- The Birthplace is a level I nursery which is the region’s only midwife‑led service with ob backup for surgical interventions, handling approx. 325 births annually. The newborn hospitalist team serves as the resident experts on NRP and resuscitation.
- This is a 0.6 FTE which is 48 hours in a 2 week period. Choose 9, 12, 15, or 24 hour shifts. Mix of weekdays and weekends is required. This position is eligible for health insurance and other great benefits.
- Per diem opportunities are also available.
- Qualifications:
2 years of newborn experience as a Pediatric, Neonatal, or Family Nurse Practitioner. NRP certification is required. - The compensation range listed below represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.
Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non‑exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees. Minimum= $126,000. Maximum= $159,000 to be prorated to 0.6 FTE.
