Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our staff.
Position Highlights- Join the Division of Geriatric Medicine consisting of 5 physicians and 5 advanced practitioners at the first age-friendly health system in the U.S., as recognized by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
- Based out of our Longmeadow, MA clinic, candidates will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team - including social workers, nursing staff, rehabilitation specialists, pharmacists, and families - to care for our aging population.
- Our strong support staff includes 3 clinical nurses, 2 social workers, 1 PSR and faculty.
- See a wide variety of cases and patient types in our clinic setting including cognitive impairment, dementia and goals-of-care discussions.
- This is a full‑time position with hours Monday‑Friday 8:00‑5:00. Candidates will have 1 hour of protected time per day. No nights/call/weekends.
- Educational opportunities include weekly 1:1 clinical time with leadership, divisional weekly interdisciplinary team meetings, and care coordination meetings.
- Candidates will participate in a comprehensive onboarding process designed to support a smooth transition to independent practice.
BC Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a minimum of 1 year APP practice experience. A strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality and lifelong learning is essential for success.
CompensationOutpatient Geriatrics AP: $129,780 – $164,400
