Position Purpose
At Mercy Medical Center, the Nurse Manager will lead the Endoscopy Unit, including procedure rooms, pre‑procedure, and post‑procedure recovery areas. This leader will ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. The role is responsible for operational leadership, staff development, regulatory compliance, and performance outcomes within the endoscopy service line.

DescriptionWhat You Will Do
- Lead and manage daily operations of the Endoscopy unit, including procedure scheduling and patient flow.
- Oversee staffing coordination, training, hiring, and performance management for nursing and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards, DPH, The Joint Commission, and endoscope reprocessing guidelines (e.g., SGNA standards).
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists, anesthesiology, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, policy development, and patient satisfaction strategies.
- Monitor and improve procedural efficiency, safety, and patient throughput.
- Promote a culture of safety, excellence, and compassionate care.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Valid and current Massachusetts RN license.
- Demonstrated nursing leadership experience in Endoscopy, GI lab, or procedural/specialty care settings, specifically in roles such as Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager.
- 5 or more years of combined clinical and leadership experience in Endoscopy or procedural services.
- Charge Nurse experience may be considered if it includes substantial responsibility for staff coordination, patient care oversight, and operational leadership.
- Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- Familiarity with SGNA standards, endoscope reprocessing requirements, and moderate sedation practices.
- Full‑Time: 40 hours/week.
- Salary Range: $100,776 to $161,200.
