Salary
Salary based on years of experience (doesn t include shift differentials). $18.00 - $22.09.

Responsibilities- Provides quality nursing care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality.
- Demonstrates respect, attention, and awareness toward the diversity of the people served (residents, families, caregivers, etc.)
- Is knowledgeable of the individualized care plan for residents and provides support to residents in accordance with their care plan.
- Identifies and participates in the QAPI process or leaves as an area of development.
- Assists with daily requirements and tasks in the care and treatment of residents. Areas of care include bathroom assistance, general personal hygiene (bathing, dental hygiene, hair and nails), dressing, mobility assistance, and food intake, and other needs in keeping with the resident s care requirements.
- Maintains resident rights and confidentiality.
- Documents all ADL s in the electronic health record.
- Observes and reports symptoms, reactions, and other changes in condition promptly.
- Routinely turns and positions residents as required by the care plan.
- Complies with all aspects of residents rights. Is responsible for promptly reporting any incidents or evidence of resident abuse or violations of resident rights to the charge nurse or administration.
- Honors resident right to refuse care, reporting such refusal to the nurse supervisor.
- Assists in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment.
- Answers resident call bells promptly and courteously.
- Ensures that residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently.
- Takes and documents temperature, pulse, respirations, food and fluid intake and output, and heights and weights, and records them in the EHR.
- Ambulates and transfers residents using the appropriate assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
- Uses only the equipment that has been trained to use, operates in a safe manner, and reports any defective equipment to the supervisor immediately.
- Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
- Assists and escorts residents to appointments such as the hair salon, attending activities, church services, or doctor s appointments.
- Active Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license.
