- Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Massachusetts. The assignment will be a 13‑week, 36‑hour per week, 12‑hour night shift opportunity starting July 13, 2026.

- Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, with a focus on cardiac care.
- Prepares equipment and aids physicians during cardiac‑related procedures and examinations.
- Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
- Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient’s cardiac status and response to interventions.
- Responds to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies.
- Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients.
- Initiates patient education plans according to individualized needs, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients.
- Maintains confidentiality of patients and the client.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
- Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
- Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Proficient in PC skills (reading/comprehending written instructions, following verbal instructions).
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel and maintain a positive attitude.
- Technical skills for fine manipulation, push/pull, using department equipment.
- Mental capability to cope with frequent patient contact under pressure and irregular schedules.
- Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification.
- NIHSS Certification.
- Other certifications and licenses as required.
