14-week assignment DAY Shift No benefits
Education
Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
Certification/Licensure Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
ACLSNIH Stroke Scale Experience Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital ICU RN experience.

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking Registered Nurses for our Beacon Award winning 16 bed General Intensive Care Unit. The most common diagnosis on this unit are myocardial infarctions, life-threatening dysrhythmias, cardiac post-procedures, gastrointestinal bleeds, acute respiratory distress, vascular surgeries and general surgeries with complications.
HOSPITAL OVERVIEW Serving as a destination medical center in the mid-Atlantic region, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center in Norfolk, Virginia, home to the Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance, region’s first Magnet hospital and nationally ranked heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital. Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, on the Eastern Virginia Medical Campus, is a large 525-bed medical center, which serves as the primary teaching institution for the adjacent Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS).
