Qualifications- Current and unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts
- Current BLS CPR certification
- Minimum one year of nursing experience, preferably in ER or outpatient triage setting
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems, familiar with outpatient and ambulatory care best practices
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Flexible, professional, and reliable, with ability to adapt to varying patient needs
- Committed to patient‑centered care, customer service, and ongoing professional growth
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish, Russian, or Vietnamese)
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills; solid understanding of disease processes and age‑specific development
- Ability to deliver high‑quality nursing care in collaboration with physicians and support staff
- Culturally sensitive, with strong interest in serving diverse patient populations
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, clients, outside agencies, and the general public
- Proficient in EHR systems; familiar with outpatient and ambulatory care practices
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Receives and responds to telephone and in‑person triage requests from patients
- Conducts nursing assessments, exercises clinical judgment, answers health‑related questions, provides patient education, and offers guidance following established protocols and guidelines
- Documents triage and patient education accurately within the electronic medical record
- Schedules same‑day and follow‑up appointments with providers to support timely and coordinated care
- Provides ongoing patient education, clinical assessment, and support while working closely with medical providers
- Performs nurse visits as needed, including clinical assessments, patient education, and nursing interventions following established protocols
- Administers prescribed medications, vaccines, and treatments following approved protocols and standards of nursing practice; documents all administrations
- Serves as a resource for staff, offering clinical guidance, nursing support, and educational opportunities as appropriate to promote staff development and quality patient care
- Other duties as assigned
This position involves prolonged use of a telephone and extended periods of computer‑based work at a workstation; requires ability to sit for long durations, occasional standing and walking, and may require lifting and carrying objects typically weighing 5–20 pounds.
Salary$39,000 – $52,000 per year.
