Chief Medical Officer. Salary/Status:
Exempt.

Minimum Requirements
  • Current Massachusetts NP licensure and/or eligibility for certification.
  • Current Mass CSR and DEA licenses.
  • Certification in Family Practice, Adult, or Pediatric.
  • Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, nursing staff, social workers, and case managers.
  • Previous experience in ambulatory care and/or public health is preferred.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in assessment and delivery of family planning services to a diverse population.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Nepali, Vietnamese or another language served at CHC.
  • Special expertise in the provision of health care to underserved, culturally diverse populations.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Identify potential and actual health and health‑related problems.
  • Evaluate patient responses associated with the problem area(s).
  • Diagnose acute and chronic illness.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that include pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic components.
  • Include the patient and family as active participants in the treatment plan.
  • Focus NP/Patient interaction on wellness, health promotion, disease prevention, and self‑care.
  • Offer comprehensive clinical family planning services when appropriate.
  • Review patient charts and ensure appropriate treatment plans are developed and followed.
  • Complete all charts on the same day of care or no later than 72 hours after the visit.
  • Complete patient charts in a manner that meets all risk‑management and chart audit requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with CHC physicians and other providers.
  • When necessary, refer patients to appropriate specialists and other practitioners and facilities.
  • Cooperate with efforts of CHC administration to monitor and improve the quality of patient care by evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Maintain updated Nurse Practitioner guidelines.
  • Participate in peer review of charts.
  • Maintain all CME/CEU, board and licensing requirements of state and national governing boards.
  • Maintain compliance with Caring Health Center’s compliance standards, including its Standard of Conduct, compliance program, and policies and procedures.
  • Use a computer, work at a computer workstation, view a CRT, and have some knowledge of a keyboard.
