About the RoleThe Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan. The provider will perform patient assessments, diagnose and treat illnesses, develop care plans, prescribe medications, and promote preventive healthcare practices. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy building long-term patient relationships and delivering patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments
- Obtain and document medical histories and symptoms
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and therapeutic treatments
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention and wellness strategies
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable healthcare regulations
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current Massachusetts NP or PA license in good standing
- Board Certification through ANCC or AANP (for Nurse Practitioners)
- Prescriptive authority required
- Minimum of 1 year of Family Practice or Primary Care experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with electronic medical records and healthcare technology
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care
