Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence, is seeking a Clinical Operations Supervisor at BMC to join our team.
The Clinical Operations Supervisor is a valuable resource for nursing and non‑nursing staff across the hospital, authorized to make critical decisions in nursing practice in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act of Massachusetts. In emergency situations, the supervisor collaborates with the Administrator‑On‑Call (AOC) and may access additional resources as needed. This role is dedicated to ensuring high‑quality and safe patient care with a focus on achieving zero patient harm, monitoring best practices aligned with national patient safety goals, and advancing the Patient Care Services (PCS) initiatives at BMC.
Schedule- Per Diem
- Day shift 8a.m.–8:30p.m. and night shift 8p.m.–8:30a.m. (primarily day shift with flexibility for nights)
- Minimum 36 hours total in a 6‑week schedule period
- Must include one 12‑hour weekend shift and one 12‑hour major holiday shift per year
- Location:
Baystate Medical Center, Springfield
- Successfully passed the Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification.
- Three years of inpatient nursing practice with leadership/supervision experience.
- Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's degree in nursing also acceptable).
- Valid State of Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
- Registered Nurse – State of Massachusetts
Hourly salary: $52.01 – $70.72, based on grade and experience. Incentive payments may be applicable.
